Hi, I’m Jonathan.
Thanks for visiting hesswork. Now that you’ve seen some of my projects, here’s a bit about me.
Raised in Virginia, I landed in San Francisco after college—drawn more by the city’s skate culture than a clear career plan. Today, I lead U.S. partner retail for Google devices and services, working across digital and physical retail as Google continues to expand its product lineup and market presence.
My first taste of digital work came at Apple, where I created internal communications and content for store employees. Before that, I spent several years helping build the Old Navy brand—an experience that felt like design boot camp and shaped how I think about scale, storytelling, and brand evolution. I’ve also freelanced with agencies across advertising and consumer packaging.
I enjoy tackling design challenges, building strong teams, and working collaboratively. I balance leadership with hands-on execution.
When I’m offline, you’ll find me with my kids, in the garden, coaching youth soccer, exploring Marin trails, or cooking with friends and family.
